Consulting for Animal Care Professionals

Tabitha works with veterinary teams, shelters, trainers, behavior professionals, and other animal care organizations to improve how we understand and support the animals in our care.

Consulting is individualized to you and your team, with a focus on practical, evidence-based approaches to animal behavior, welfare, communication, and care.

Organizational Consulting

Every organization is different, and behavior programs shouldn't be one-size-fits-all.

Tabitha works with veterinary hospitals, shelters, and other animal care organizations to identify what's working, where there are challenges, and what changes can realistically be made. Together, we develop a plan that supports both the animals in your care and the people caring for them.

Consulting may include behavior program development, supportive handling, reducing fear, anxiety, and stress, enrichment, team communication, staff education, and creating practical protocols your team can actually use.

Tabitha’s approach is collaborative and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on safety, choice, trust, communication, and building skills that create lasting change.

Continuing Education & Workshops

Tabitha offers in-person and virtual continuing education, lectures, and hands-on workshops for veterinary teams, shelters, trainers, behavior professionals, and other animal care organizations.

The goal is to make behavioral science practical and approachable, giving attendees tools they can take back and use in their everyday work.

Topics include animal behavior and communication, cooperative care, supportive handling, fear and stress reduction, chronic pain and behavior, enrichment, animal welfare, and more.

Professional Case Consultations

Sometimes it helps to have another behavior professional to talk through a challenging case with.

Tabitha offers one-on-one virtual consultations for trainers, behavior consultants, veterinary professionals, and other animal care professionals who would like additional support with a case.

We can review what you're seeing, troubleshoot challenges, discuss behavior and welfare considerations, and work together to identify practical next steps.
